The Messinia Disaster Response Team launches for the first time in Kalamata the Youth Academies for children and teenagers aged 7–17.
The aim is to introduce young people to volunteerism, solidarity, and respect for the environment; to teach them how to protect themselves and others in cases of disasters; and to engage them in nature-protection activities while gaining hands-on Fire Safety Education experience.
Classes will be held every Saturday, from October to June.
